About the Role
English faculty plays a critical role at BKPJM. 50% of our teacher pupil come from Hindi medium schools/colleges. However, new age schools demand teachers equipped with English. This position takes the responsibility of nurturing this proficiency using movies, theatre, music among other modes.
If you are up to the challenge, then we are looking for a English lecturer or senior lecturer to support teacher pupil in their development journey.
Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure Student Learning Outcomes
Deliver max. of 4 lectures/day with the aim of building student’s capacity for written and spoken English.
Leverage tech tools (Google Classroom, Kahoot, PowerPoint etc) for student engagement
Ensure reading & discussion of 3 reference book related to subject throughout the year
Provide and record timely feedback and assessment of coursework and examinations.
Design and implement assessment matrices to evaluate teacher pupil’s competencies
Engage in academic research and Innovation
Pilot pedagogic innovations to nurture English language proficiency
Action research on the student’s day to day problems they are facing
Influence peers to adapt successful innovate methods to engage students
Plan and develop modules and programs within the subject area as required.
Promote the integration of own research area with other research interests within and, as appropriate, outside the College and faculty.
Contribute to process/systems for Institution Building
Lead design and implement tools to measure teaching aptitude across institute
Organize seminar/webinar/workshop on specialization
Document best practice and publish at relevant avenues
Collaborate with peers and support staff in difficult times
Education & Experience
Min: Any Graduation + Min. 1yr of relevant work experience OR Any Graduation + Post-Graduation
Preferred: Above + B.Ed/M.Ed/MA (Education)
